Mentor Coaches
EOS is looking for Mentor Coaches in all regions for the newly implemented NCCP Instruction-Beginner CanSkate Coach Certification. Coaches must meet the following profile to be considered for this position:
- Must be a current registered Skate Canada coaching member
- Must be actively coaching CanSkate
- Must have at least 5 years of CanSkate coaching experience
- Must be at least NCCP Level 1 or Primary STARSkate coach certified
- Must be dedicated to the coaching profession and on-going professional development (i.e. CEP status is an asset)
- Must communicate effectively
- Must clearly understand, articulate and model the Skate Canada Coaches Code of Ethics, NCCP Code of Ethics and philosophies
Interested coaches please forward the following:
- Proof of Skate Canada “current” Coaching Membership
- Proof of CanSkate Coach Experience (at least 5 years)
- Proof of clubs currently coaching CanSkate in
- Proof of NCCP level of certification

Beaverton Figure Skating Club
NCCP Level 2 or Level 3 Coach
The Beaverton Figure Skating Club is growing and we’re seeking a Skate Canada NCCP Level 2 or Level 3 Coach to join our coaching team. Our coaching team will include three enthusiastic coaches who will instruct all levels of skaters from CanSkate to Senior STARSkate, including Dance, Skills and FreeSkate. Private coaching opportunities and participation in competitions are included in our club. We welcome your commitment to providing excellence in coaching individual and groups of athletes with a range of skills and personal goals. Key objectives for our coaches include a willingness to collaborate and share ideas, to bring forward and implement creative and fun learning programs and to value positive communications with the coaching team, our Executive, skaters and parents. Our skating season runs from October until March on Monday and Wednesdays.

Ontario Russell Figure Skating Club
Coaching positions available in Russell, Ontario.
- Skate Canada NCCP Certified CanSkate Coach or higher for the 2010-2011 skating season.
- Skate Canada NCCP Certified Level 1 Coach or higher for the 2010-2011 skating season.
Job Description: Instruct all skating levels, including CanSkate to Senior STARSkate. Season runs from end of September to early April.
Our STARSkaters focus on freeskate, dance, skating skills and interpretive. The STARSkate certified coach must be able to offer instruction in freeskate and skills.
Good communication skills and willingness to work as a team player with the executive, coaches, volunteers, parents and skaters is a must. Qualifications include NCCP Level 1 (either CanSkate or Level 1).

Nepean Skating Club
The Nepean Skating Club (Ottawa, ON) is looking for qualified CanSkate / STARSkate coaches to join our coaching staff of the 2010 – 2011 season. Nepean offers ice times for all levels of skaters from CanSkate to competitive skaters, as well as CanPowerSkate and Synchronized Skating. We have ice times available 7 days a week and run 12 CanSkate sessions.
