Sanction Requests
All sanction applications for carnivals, exhibitions, seminars and media sessions must be received by the EO Section Office at least 14 days before the event takes place, all sanction requests past 14 days are subject to an additional charge. - An admission fee is charged
- Both eligible and/or ineligible persons participate
- If some financial benefit accrues to the organizers or participants

Event Sanction Application and PayPal option
We are now accepting payments by PayPal. You have the option of paying by Cheque or Money Order or by using PayPal - If you are using PayPal please enter the Club name and date of event.
Please remember that you still must apply using the Application which can be filled out online and printed for mailing or faxing as a signature is required on the form. A copy of the flyer for your event must be submitted with the application with the exception of an Ice Show.

Insurance Certificates
Should the facility request a "Certificate of Insurance" you can obtain a certificate by completing the request form and submitting the form directly to BFL Canada. Clubs and skating schools will send their completed request forms directly to Janet Bayard at BFL CANADA. The club's and skating school's membership status will be verified by BFL CANADA and the requested insurance certificate(s) will be mailed directly to the club. Media Appearances and Commercial Ventures
All sanction requests for media appearances (except local coverage) and commercial ventures (where the event is not sanctioned) are to be approved by Skate Canada National Office or the Section Chair where applicable. Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN)
Important notice to all clubs
Clubs and skating schools that host competitions or ice shows will be required to complete the necessary tariff #9 or #11 and pay the required fees as competitions and ice shows are not part of the negotiated agreement.
